The journey of life is always full of challenges, just like the effort we put into creating this full-color 3D printed Mount Fuji model. Sometimes, tenacious perseverance can lead us to unexpected beauty.

Recently, someone contacted me through LinkedIn, hoping we could create a full-color 3D printed model of Mount Fuji. Their previous sample had inadequate color reproduction, which led them to seek our expertise with the Mimaki printer to resolve this issue.

We selected unformed liquid photopolymer resin as the printing material. This resin can achieve extremely high color fidelity and fine surface details during the printing process. For the printing parameters, we set the layer thickness to 0.1 mm, maintained a printing temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, adjusted the power to 80, and controlled the speed to 30 mm per hour, with an estimated printing time of 8 hours.

Throughout the printing process, the Mimaki printer operated very steadily. I kept a close eye on the print quality to ensure that every detail was perfectly showcased. As the print progressed, the outline of Mount Fuji became clearer, and I was very satisfied with the gradient color performance. The process went smoothly without any interruptions, and the machine maintained excellent working conditions.

After printing was completed, we proceeded with post-processing. First, we cleaned the model with water to remove any excess resin from the surface. Next, we lightly sanded the model with sandpaper to ensure a smooth finish. During the curing process, we placed the model under UV light to ensure the resin was fully solidified. Finally, I conducted a meticulous inspection of the model to ensure every detail met the expected quality standards.

Seeing the full-color 3D printed Mount Fuji model beautifully presented before me filled me with immense satisfaction. Hard work always pays off, and this experience not only enhanced my technical skills but also reinforced my commitment to the pursuit of excellence.
