Recently, someone reached out on Twitter, looking for assistance with their AGV cart controller shell. Upon hearing this, I thought of our 3D printing capabilities and potential solutions.

For this project, we opted for SLS flame-retardant nylon. This material is not only lightweight but also provides excellent flame resistance, making it ideal for industrial applications.

We prepared the Systems 3D printer, setting the layer thickness to 0.1mm, maintaining a printing temperature of 190 degrees Celsius, with a power setting of 80% and a print speed of 15mm per second. This combination ensures that the printed part has both strength and a smooth surface finish.

As the printing progressed, the Systems printer operated smoothly, melting the powder layer by layer until the AGV cart controller shell was formed. We monitored the device's performance closely to ensure every layer was placed accurately. After several hours, the shell was complete, and the overall quality was impressive, with the frosted surface and the engraved "aiskywing.com" text clearly visible.

In the post-processing stage, I began by cleaning the printed part to remove excess powder, followed by sanding the edges with fine sandpaper to achieve a smooth finish. Then, the shell was placed in a curing chamber to ensure it met the V0 flame-retardant standard. After thorough inspection, the final product was packaged and ready for delivery.

After meticulous production and finishing, the AGV cart controller shell was ready, perfectly matching the requirements and combining aesthetics with functionality.
