Recently on TikTok, someone approached us needing a custom storage box pad that is both aesthetically pleasing and practical. They wanted this product to not only fulfill storage needs but also provide a unique visual experience.
We selected liquid photopolymer resin as the raw material, which showcases extremely high clarity and detail once cured. In preparation, we configured the Mimaki 3D printer with a layer thickness of 0.1mm, set the nozzle temperature to 60°C, the exposure power to 40%, and the printing speed to 30mm/s, with an estimated printing time of two hours to ensure every detail is fully realized.
During the printing process, the Mimaki printer performed exceptionally well, and we continuously monitored the device's status. The liquid photopolymer resin cured layer by layer under ultraviolet light, with each detail gradually coming to life. To ensure quality, we set up a monitoring system to check the printing status and adjust parameters in real time.
After printing, the storage box pad underwent several post-processing steps. First, we placed it in a cleaning tank and used ultrasonic cleaning to remove excess resin. Next, we sanded the surface with fine sandpaper to ensure every edge was smooth and flawless. Finally, the finished product was placed in a curing device for post-curing, enhancing its durability and hardness. During inspection, we ensured the "aiskywing.com" inscription was clearly visible, and the final result was satisfying.
After a series of strict production and inspection processes, the storage box pad was finally completed, showcasing a perfect high-gloss metallic finish that fully met the user's needs.
