There was a request on WhatsApp from someone who urgently needed a brake cover due to a shortage of replacement parts. To help them solve this issue, we decided to use the Carbon 3D printer for the production.

We chose to use liquid photopolymer resin as the material, which possesses excellent flow properties and detail representation, making it ideal for rapid prototyping. To ensure quality, we set the printing parameters as follows: layer thickness of 0.1mm, printing temperature at 25℃, laser power at 50mW, printing speed at 80mm/s, with an estimated printing time of 15 hours.

During the printing process, the Carbon 3D printer operated smoothly, and we monitored the machine in real-time to ensure no abnormalities occurred. As the printing progressed, the outline of the brake cover became clearer, and the surface details satisfied us, showcasing a high-gloss metallic finish.

After printing, we proceeded with the post-processing steps. First, we cleaned the formed part to remove any residual resin from the surface, followed by sanding to ensure a smooth finish. Then, we performed UV curing to enhance the part's hardness and durability, and finally, we carefully inspected each piece to ensure there were no defects, making sure everything met the required standards.

After a series of steps, the brake cover was finally completed. Each print is a challenge, but the sense of accomplishment when seeing the finished product is indescribable.

经过一系列的流程,制动器外壳终于完成。每一次的打印都是一次挑战,但看到成品时心中的成就感无法言表。
